Independent Boutique Celebrates 5th Anniversary with new brand

Independently owned Exiv Boutique formerly known as ‘Iris Boutique Exeter’ located off Gandy Street unveiled its new brand at a 5th anniversary party. Guests were welcomed with a glass of fizz and special guest Judi Spiers. A charity raffle with prizes donated by local businesses was held raising £318.00 in aid of FORCE Cancer charity.

Nichola Hartley and Marion Harbison of EXIV Boutique

Mother and daughter partnership, Marion Harbison and Nichola Hartley bucked the trend in 2008 by launching ‘Iris Boutique Exeter’ during the height of the recession.  Five years’ later they are refreshing the business with the new name of ‘Exiv Boutique’, launching a new website and have taken on fashion graduate Agne Andrivlionyte expanding their team.

Marion Harbinson - Exiv Boutique says: “I can’t believe the shop has been open for five years; it’s gone so quickly and during that period we have gone from strength to strength. Since launching in 2008, Exeter has attracted many new businesses which has been good for the local economy and is known as a city boasting great shops, bars and restaurants which attracts visitors from across the south west and beyond. With the launch of our new website it felt the right time to refresh our look and image.  Whilst being unique worldwide, the name Exiv is devised from the Roman numerals of our postcode EX4 and we feel it encapsulates the contemporary brand image whilst encompassing the rich history of this small but vibrant city.”

Nichola Hartley comments: “We are so excited about the re-brand and to have the opportunity to hold a Birthday party in aid of a worthy local cause. Our informal open evening offered an opportunity to shop in a relaxed environment with the chance to win some fabulous prizes and all proceeds going to FORCE.  Guests enjoyed a glass of fizz whilst browsing our new range of cosy chunky knits which look great with print dresses or our fantastic fit jeans.  Not forgetting the beautiful and unique Elisa Cavaletti perfect to cross the divide between casual and Christmas party wear. We love the textures and colours this season, beautiful teals, green, rich merlot and chocolate set against soft greys, neutrals and staple black.”
