In association with Wiltshire County Council, award-winning builder C G Fry & Son based in Dorchester is to introduce a new travel reimbursement scheme to reduce the reliance of residents on the use of the private car at Wyndham Place, their latest Wiltshire development based in Tisbury.
Wyndham Place a development of three and four-bedroom homes offers the rare chance to acquire a new home in one of Wiltshire’s most appealing rural areas with good road and rail links to the A303 and A30 trunk roads. As part of the travel plan, the company is making finances available to install bike-racks around Tisbury and at the local railway station. Up to £800 is available to each household towards the costs of travel by means other than the private car. This sum on offer is available to the first occupiers of each dwelling for one year from the date of occupancy with the first residents due to move into their new homes by this spring.

The alternative travel options we are putting in place, together with a cash incentive are to actively encourage members of each household to commute by means other than the private car. In addition, we are liaising closely with two local community groups who have plans to plant up a large parcel of land which will be gifted on a long-lease from Fonthill Estate to Tisbury Parish Council. The plans include planting a wildflower meadow, copse, orchard and community garden and C G Fry & Son is contributing a substantial proportion of funds to ensure this project comes to fruition.”
